Sorry, this is not possible. This is not just a jacquielawson.com restriction: it is common to all e-card sites. By default, the security framework in which a web browser operates prevents it from accessing any data on your computer (except cookies - that's why cookies were invented).

It would be theoretically possible to have an import facility but it would involve downloading additional software to run outside the browser's normal security context. Developing such software is complex; and different versions would be needed for each type of address book (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, AOL etc.).

It is also a facility which we are wary of offering, for the same reason that we limit the address book to 100 entries: it would make it too easy for people to import large numbers of addresses and effectively use our site for unsolicited commercial mailing - i.e. spamming.
