Generally we try to avoid labelling a card for a specific purpose unless the theme and content of the card clearly demands it. As you know, this site is devoted to the work of just one artist, and with cards of such complexity and attention to detail it is impossible for Jacquie to produce more than one new card every few weeks. So we feel it would be unnecessarily restrictive for us to print "Thank you" or "In Sympathy" at the top of a card which could easily be used for several other purposes.

For example, the mournful "Tulip Tune" and the more chirpy "Feeling Blue" might both be appropriate for "Sympathy", or "Get well soon" or a variety of other messages.

Similarly, you could say "Thank you" with the "Something Special" card or with a number of the Flower cards.

On the other hand, if we print "Thank you" in large letters at the top of one of these cards, then it stops you from using the card for any other purpose.
