We are constantly asked for religious cards, often by people with very strongly held religious beliefs. Unfortunately we are unable to fulfill this demand with specific e-cards, which always causes disappointment. The following paragraphs will hopefully explain why. As you know, this site is mostly based on the work of one single artist. Unlike most other commercial card sites, we do not employ dozens of people to create animations. And they are complicated - far more complicated than most e-cards - and so they take time to create. Due to the limited number of e-cards released yearly, we feel that we owe it to our members to try to ensure that every card has as broad an appeal as possible, so that members do not wait a month for a new card to emerge and then find it's no use to them. This really rules out any cards which are aimed at any one particular religion or culture. Even our Christmas cards are as far as possible non-religious in nature, and they tend to play with themes - such as decorated trees and snowmen - which, although associated these days with Christmas, have origins which pre-date Christianity, and have some part in many cultures. In order to meet the needs of our customers of all religions and beliefs, we have provided a choice of greetings with most e-cards. When appropriate to the e-card design, we have added optional greetings including Happy Hanukkah, Season's Greetings, Happy Holidays and more. Finally, this site is ultimately a commercial concern and we feel it would be hypocritical and cynical for us to try to make profit by representing in our cards religious beliefs which Jacquie and her team do not share. Jacquie's cards represent her own way of life and culture, and we believe that the integrity and success of her work rely on keeping it that way.
