Certainly must be getting old, as it seems no time since Christmas 2024. It’s been a busy year for us both, but there is a break in the traffic now for a short time. We spent a month away with Amy and her family – three weeks spent in the UK, with stopovers in Canada and Singapore – a really enjoyable family time. I spent five days with Amy and her family in August, then we had four days in Arrowtown with Jessica in November. There were also ten days in Dunedin in February with the girls, so it’s been a family-oriented year. I’m heading up to Tauranga in January for two weeks to look after the house and dog – Kevin wants to stay home and tend to the garden, as it will be producing and yielding a lot by then. He went to Perth for two weeks after we came back from the UK, but I was here to tend to things – although there wasn’t a lot of growth then. The weather has been so variable – presently feels almost like a northern hemisphere Christmas, so I hope it improves very soon and for a sustained period of time. While we’ve not been away, Kevin has continued at Repertory – a lot of property maintenance and helping with set building for four big productions. Will be similar next year, as it’s the 90th year of establishment of the Society. I’ve continued with my volunteering at Hospice, cycling in schools and at track championships, triathlon club and blind and low vision. Plenty to keep me occupied, with lots of books read and puzzles done in between times. Merry Christmas.
