Merry Christmas to you and those you love....the card reminds me of "home" in PA. the ice skaters as my brother I often skated down by the ponds close to railroad tracks....he had skates so I had to stuff them with socks to use them...and the horse and sleigh reminded me of Mother as she said doctor arrived to deliver her over the fields of snow when she was born in January 1911..........and the joy of seeing the snow reminded me of all those wonderful sleigh rides as Daddy set out smudge pots so cars were aware of us kids on the hills and dales...and the tree brings warm memories of the Lionel train my brother got one year and the dolly I got which I STILL have and bubble lights too...and Daddy always got mother a box of Candy and boy was that a treat for us all but the best remembrance is of the family, mom/dad, brother Barry, twin sisters Jean and Rene as we enjoyed the warmth of our home, love of our parents and of course Mom's yummi cookies...and then awaited the extended family to arrive and stay for days in that crowded house, couples slept in twin beds, us kids sleeping on the floor...ONE bathroom for all but no seemed to care....just enjoying the time together.....an old fashioned Christmas indeed.. This is my first Christmas in 66 years without my sweet Roger so a huge change for me but thankfully Scott our son will be with me for a week as I share Peace on Earth, Good Will to all...............Love and Hugs, Cookie and her Herald Angels singing to us all!!
