A Grazing Flock, Happy Holidays

Just wanted to get another note off before Christmas. Last week Brother Frank Norris passed away. He was from Cincinnati and joined Maryknoll in 1949. He was in the army during the Second World War and then was in the occupation forces in Japan. He worked at two of our schools until 1961. He was then assigned to Tanganyika (Tanzania) and Shinyanga Diocese. He was a builder for the Diocese and was very talented. 1975 saw him return to the United States and he worked at the house in Los Altos, California. In 1978 he was assigned to Samoa and worked with the Maryknoll Brothers mission under Cardinal Pio. He administered the Diocesan Center. He returned in the late 1990's and took up residence here at the Center. He was very handy, and he became the fix it man for most jobs in the house. Frank had one goal to live to be 100. He missed it by 10 weeks. There are now 17 Brothers left in Maryknoll. Preparations are afoot for the Christmas holiday and things are moving. Decorations are going up and strains of Christmas Carols are heard through the house. I hope that all of you and your families are happy and healthy. My Prayers for a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. Kevin
