Swing in the New Year, Happy New Year!

Dear Bronwyn, Sean and Zac, Greetings from London! UCL is brilliant but insane. I love London. Thanks for having Jon and Ash over for dinner. They seem to be coping well (although I'm still not sure what Jon's results were for 2025 uni...). Ash finished her year 13 and graduates this month which is a massive achievement for someone who last attended school in year 6. I've sent her links to foundation programs for Flinders and AU. And thanks as always to all of you for looking out for Jono. He's a good young man but chronically disorganised, with exceptionally poor time management skills (Ash's words), or more bluntly in the words of our cleaner Nga, 'your son is cute, your house is dirty' (Jono had sent me a message suggesting we didn't need the cleaner as he could manage)! Adam is in Adelaide for most of January attempting to keep the garden alive (and, yes, Nga is still cleaning!) Only low point was the death of our almost 17 yr old cat Soap here in London. Jono was devastated. But he had heart failure, end stage kidney disease and arthritis and the morning that his back legs no longer held up his body weight I called the vet and Soap was euthanised 2 hours later. It was very well handled and Soap wasn't in pain. But tough on the humans. The 2 young cats are great. They love all the stairs in my 3 bedrm terrace house. With best wishes for a happy 2026. London visitors welcome: I've already had several Adelaide day visitors and a couple of house guests! Love Jennie
