The Carollers, Merry Christmas

Our year 2025 was full of happiness and travel! In February we flew to Calistoga CA to join daughter Jen, SIL Tony and grandsons Gavin and Rory for a Christmas gift of a relaxing long weekend in the Hot Springs! This was a mighty exhilarating contrast to the cold winter weather for us all! In March, step-daughter Kimmy was gifted a trip to see Iceland! She thoroughly enjoyed it despite cold, rain and driving wind. We decided to stay home for this one, out of self-preservation and cowardice. In April and May, we ventured to Holland in time to see the tulips in season. We then boarded a cruise down the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers to the Black Sea. Both city and country experiences were memorable, especially when confronted with the first-hand impact of Soviet Cold War domination in the Eastern Bloc. While we were traveling, so too was son Jeph and his companion Carolyn who wanted to see Aruba as their Christmas gift! We didn’t join them, as Aruba is much too hot for us! And in July, Santa took son Chris, DIL Jen and grandson Reilly to Oshkosh WI for two days of total immersion in aircraft as part of AirVenture, the largest gathering of civilian aircraft in the world. The trip was nirvana, capped with the best fireworks display imaginable! Interspersed among all these trips were several camping trips to Maine, Connecticut, and surrounding places to meet with friends and relax without jet lag! A very Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy New Year! Dave and Heather
