Helen had her surgery yesterday afternoon; the procedure took just over two hours and she spent last night in The Park Hospital, from where she was discharged late this morning. Post operative morphine was administered; however, paracetamol is now the only analgesia she needs. Her surgeon has told her that he was happy with the outcome, but it will be six weeks until there will be any certainty. She must have complete rest for two weeks and then gradually start taking a little very gentle exercise, gradually returning to normal within a six week period.
