The Peacock Tree, Christmas Blessings

Dear Yolanda, Thank you so much for staying in touch and sending me beautiful cards. My recovery from the heart surgery is going very slowly. I usually have pretty much no energy and so my apartment is a wreck, unfortunately. Life has been very strange since my mother died and my sister and her husband turned their back on me. Fortunately, my apartment complex is only for people who are over 55, and so the friendlier ones tend to stick together and support each other. I really don’t know what I am going to do as I need to stay in Massachusetts for the wonderful benefits that they have for disabled people, but those benefits may dwindle with Trump in charge. Are you still going to the spiritual church? I would love to be part of a church or organization like that again, but knowing what that Minister has done in the past and is currently doing, I just cannot be a part of that. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow, so maybe we’ll have a white Christmas. I hope you have a very lovely and merry Christmas this year. Please continue to keep in touch. I miss you and the other people, but you the most. With love, Diane
