Do I have to be online to use the Advent Calendars?

When you start up the Advent Calendar it checks to see if anything needs to be updated. This is an important process to make sure that the application is safe and up-to-date, but unfortunately this requires an active internet connection in order to use the Advent Calendar.

This applies to all versions of the Advent Calendar: PC/Mac, iOS, and Android.
