How do I stop getting emails from you?

Newsletters and card sent/viewed notifications

Our newsletters are normally sent to past and current members. In all cases we will have asked you at the time you joined whether you wanted to receive our newsletters. If you have changed your mind and would like to opt out, you can do this simply by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any newsletter, or by going to the Email Notifications section of the My Details page (see below).

If you are a current ecard subscriber, we will also send you email in the following circumstances:

  1. When you order a card to be sent, we let you know when it is sent from our server.
  2. The first time a card is picked up by the recipient, we send you an email to let you know.

Both the above are optional. To tell us your preferences, please log on and then click My Details in the menu above. (Please note this option will not appear in the menu unless you have logged on.) The options are in the Email Notifications page. You can also change these options in the JL ecards app by tapping More and then Email Preferences.

Please note it is a condition of membership that we are able to contact you by email for administrative matters relating to your membership. For this reason the email address you give in your membership record must be a valid one.

I received a spam email from you!

We do not send spam and we have strict controls in place to prevent our members from abusing our service by sending unsolicited commercial email. If you have received an unsolicited mail which you believe to be from jacquielawson.com, then please proceed as follows:

  1. If the mail you received was not one of our ecards, but was obviously spam

(e.g. if it was advertising Viagra or pornography or cheap Rolex watches) and it appeared to come from a jacquielawson.com address, then the sender address was forged. This is a common trick of the spammers – they will send mail pretending to be from reputable companies such as ourselves in the hope that you will read their mail. You can verify that this is the case by checking the mail headers, which will show that the mail was not in fact sent from our mail servers. Sadly, there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop this happening.

  2. One of our members may have sent you an ecard.

If you do not know the sender, it is possible that they entered your email address mistakenly for someone else's. But sending unsolicited commercial mail from jacquielawson.com is strictly forbidden and anyone doing this may have their membership terminated. If the email you received was definitely one of our ecards and contained an unwanted marketing message, please send us details by taking the third option at the bottom of this page.

  3. You may have previously opted in to receive our emails.

If you have previously registered with us and did not opt out of our newsletters then you may still be on our newsletter mailing list. If you do not want to continue to receive our newsletters then you can unsubscribe as described above.

I don't want to receive your ecards!

Please see our FAQ about being added to our block list.
